STRAIGHT UP SCIENCE: Frozen Methane with Dr. Chanton

Carbon dioxide may be the most talked-about greenhouse gas, but methane is 20 times stronger.  Dr. Jeff Chanton of Florida State University has studied the methane reserves trapped under the ice of Greenland, and estimates what may happen if they escape.

For a brief bio of Dr. Chanton, see his page on the FSU site.  The FSU news bulletin also has a report of the study, and the full text can be found in Nature Geosciences.
